Giles Clark, Director, F IDM

A Fellow of the Institute of Digital and Direct Marketing (F IDM), Giles is responsible for our web, internet and e-media services. Although he's too modest to say so, Giles is something of a pioneer in developing new media as a communications and marketing channel, spotting the potential as early as 1992. He initially used websites, e-newsletters and email marketing to promote his own successful international conferences and exhibitions, before deploying a growing array of online communications technologies for Splash! clients, including streaming video, online surveys and forums. Most recently, much of his time is spent educating clients in the pros and cons of social media as a marketing communications channel.

Melinda Williams

Melinda joined Splash! after 14 years in book publishing, where she gained her extensive experience in advertising, design, marketing, editorial and IT. These skills make Melinda the perfect person to provide the 360-degree first-line support that clients and journalists expect from us. Melinda takes multi-tasking to new heights - a typical day will see her moving effortlessly between helping journalists with information, news writing and issuing, case study production, event planning and support, managing our media database and online news/image portal, advertising bookings and fulfilment, monitoring client coverage across multiple channels... and much more.

Samantha Fowler

Samantha is multi-talented and multi-faceted. With a huge enthusiasm for the technical industries we work in, she likes a challenge and is superb at supporting clients and the media and responding quickly to their needs. She provides across the board account management from strategic planning, user investment releases and case studies, feature support and placement to advertising and sponsorship management.

Debbie Haynes

Debbie joined Splash! PR from a PA/Secretarial background with a wealth of administration experience. Flexible, organised and a stickler for detail, Debbie makes sure Splash! delivers on time and to plan. Crucially, she overseas the logistics of all our PR and marketing campaigns, from issuing releases, through to booking tickets for the Splash! team, journalists and clients, down to sourcing those essential little extras to any campaign and much, much more. Debbie used to work as part of the Rugby Football Union's team that appointed elite referees and has been known to hand out "yellow cards" of her own if things aren't being done.

Michael Walker

Michael Walker is a technical writer and editorial consultant who has over 25 years experience in trade journalism, business-to-business PR and marketing communications in the high-tech environment, specialising in the graphic arts and digital imaging sectors. His journalistic experience includes working as editor, assistant editor and freelance contributor to a variety of trade and consumer titles, including Print Monthly, Print and Paper Monthly, Professional Photographer and Photo Pro Magazine. He has also written for PrintWeek, the Financial Times, DSLR User and Print Media Management. He is the co-author Getting Colour Right (Ilex Press, 2004) and Practical Colour Management for Photographers and Digital Image Makers (self-published e-book, 2010).

Robert Dunnett, Designer

An award-winning designer, Robert is experienced in all aspects of visual communication and production, including ROP/online advertising, direct mail, corporate and financial literature, packaging, websites, e-newsletters and brand/corporate identities. Splash! clients benefit from an onsite on-demand designer who can create and finalise a wealth of material quickly and professionally. While we create the words, he creates the look!

The Splash! Coral Reef

All Splash! clients benefit from the unique virtual network that is the Splash! Coral Reef.

We built the 'Reef' to provide clients with the very best regional/global communications services at a reasonable cost using a simple but effective strategy: find the best people - individuals and businesses - to work with, wherever they are, make sure they subscribe to our philosophy and meet our exacting standards, and contract them to provide expert support when our clients need it.

Today our Reef encompasses regional PR firms, freelance journalists, technical white paper specialists, editors, translators, designers, photographers, film makers, trainers and sales consultants - all recognised as experts in their fields. Managed by the Splash! UK team, our "Reefers" provide clients with valuable local knowledge and contacts, immense flexibility, high standards and excellent results. Like any reef, it's a constant work in progress, a living organism that grows and adapts to the changing conditions of the communications environment.
